Vagabonds of Lothilia
Life for a Halfling is hard. They are physically weaker than nearly all other species, with the possible exception of Goblins. Many Halfling families have been forced by the ‘Big Folk’ into serfdom or even slavery. In cities, they are often bullied into gangs to work as pick pockets or tricked into working as Chimney Sweeps, living short lives due to Black Lung for some money. All that said, however, a few Halflings have risen above their brethren to become powerful individuals and some of the richest merchants in Lothilia are actually Halflings. Butterbur Halffoot will soon be the richest man in the empire, short of the Emperor himself, for being the largest contributor to the Red Rose faction’s supplies.
Halfling names are similar to humans, with a given name (usually similar to their parents names) and a surname. Halfling names are almost all strangely obsessed with feet, with names like Halffoot, Littlefoot, Proudfeet and Missingtoe. About 9 out 10 Halfling name involve feet somehow.
Halfling have slightly longer lives than humans with about 85 years.
